East Cornwall PCN’s Menopause Service
This is a locally commissioned, NHS service, provided by Bia Care. Bia Care’s menopause service is a remote Primary Care service, for people who require support and treatment for menopause. The service is delivered by a menopause specialist doctor, with administrative support from one of Bia Care’s health coaches.
Bia Care was formed by a group of NHS clinicians, with the aim of improving the access to excellent menopause care in the NHS. As part of the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, and with an academic partnership with Imperial College London, we are working across the NHS to bring evidence-based digital innovation to menopause care.
Within this service, menopause specialist doctor delivers virtual group consultations, with up to six women in an hour-long consultation. Group consultations are known to improve patient outcomes, and Bia Care has published research showing these benefits extend into menopause care.

Targeted Lung Health Checks
Patients aged between 55 and under 75 years old, who have ever smoked, will be invited by our provider InHealth to be screened for a lung health check. See link below for further information on the service:

Breast Feeding Peer Support Group
What’s new?
- Liskeard group is back: Mondays, 10-11.30am
- Wadebridge group is on Fridays, 10.30-12pm
Families are still encouraged to book using the breastfeeding@cornwall.gov.uk email in case of any last minute changes due to volunteer illness etc as COVID infection cases remain high across the county, however we are seeing an increase in families dropping in to the groups without booking first for social interaction as well as infant feeding support which is also fine.
