St Luke's Compassionate Cafe
They meet at Ashtorre Rock, Saltash every Friday from 2 pm until around 3.30 pm. The group is loosely aimed at anyone with a life limiting illness, carers and the bereaved, or those anticipating bereavement. To find us, look for the table with the starfish wooden spoon or ask at the cafe window.
"A Compassionate Cafe is a friendly, welcoming place to have a cup of tea or coffee with a Compassionate Friend who is there for company, to lend a friendly ear and provide a place to stay connected to others." And another quote from St. Luke's, "to make death and dying a less taboo subject so that those living with a life limiting illness, experiencing loss or bereavement are well supported and don’t feel isolated or alone."
We are looking forward to welcoming people from the local area and taking this new step towards supporting each other through difficult times.
