Introducing Tara Watkins - our new Social Prescriber

Introducing Tara Watkins – Our new Social Prescriber at Quay Lane Surgery, St Germans

Quay Lane Surgery is pleased to welcome Tara Watkins, Social Prescriber to the team. Tara has a wealth of experience in public health, information and advice services, and has also worked for a national bereavement organisation. She’s passionate about helping people feel more connected, supported, and in control of their health and wellbeing.

She says, “We know that taking care of your health involves more than just medicine. You can now get specialist support for more than just medical issues by talking to a Social Prescriber. We are community connectors who will spend time with you, exploring what activities and local support could improve your health and wellbeing. That might mean being introduced to a community group, a new activity or local club, helping you to find legal advice, or helping you to find out what services and resources are available.”
